The failure mode is heavily dependent on if the car has a single actuator or the older dual actuator. All model Y were produced with the single actuator and the simplified front latch arrangement with only the one primary latch. This simplified front latch has the benefit of having the actuator physically yank and attempt to force the latch upward. The older dual actuator setup while more secure with a primary and secondary latch has no such ability. The actuator motor only moves a locking bar away and allows the latch to progress upward by spring force alone. Personally I have tried the satonic V2 (Planetary Gear/Worm) and Tlyard (worm drive) on my 18 model 3 and would recommended the satonic (albeit it has its own downfalls). The planetary setup essentially in a motor failure allows it to free spin and allows the older dual actuator spring to force it back into the open position.

Hi there , ok years later i got lots of stuff working but never this game lol. So when i start the ahk file, it starts lightgun, but lightguns never activate. it launches the lightgun exe and btw im on the latest version. I can start the game, it loads, but guns dont work and then upon esc i cant load lightgun and get it working unless i reboot

Not an electrician by any means. Is there a way to weather proof these units prior to installation by the consumer? Maybe something like dielectric grease? Just took delivery of MYP 12/7/24 and not happy with the flimsy frunk hood and difficulty of closing it manually. Anyone? Thanks

A word of caution. I fitted a similar one piece design I purchased from Ali about four months ago. I have been very pleased with it and it's worked perfectly until this week. I tried to open the lid and it made the usual noise but failed to open. After a number of attempts I had to give up and come back to it the following day. In the meantime the car thought the frunk was open and whilst it allowed me to override the message and drive the car, it sounded a very annoying warning beep every two seconds. It also made me click on an override message to use the wipers because it thought they would hit the open bonnet. Today, I put the car (Model Y) on ramps and had to remove the underside cover, loosen the rediator, and just about managed to remove the bolts securing the latch. I can't tell you how difficult this is. Nearly impossible to reach and even at full stretch I had next to zero movement on the spanner. Very painful. But even with the latch bolts out and the latch hanging, I could still only open the hood about 3 inches because the now loose latch was still holding on to the bonnet striker. I eventually managed to unscrew and remove the striker and lift the lid. I then removed the faulty device and reassembled the car. After opening the unit, it is clear that water had got inside and blown the electrics. This was a major job to remove and took me about 5 hours all in !! So whilst I'm sure I am unlucky to have a faulty unit, I personally won't ever risk this sort of device in the future.

I own a 2024 Tesla Model 3 standard range. I ordered the Frunk locking parts from Hansshow. What they sent me was the lock plate with the motor mounted on the lock plate assembly unlike those that have the motor separate. This lock plate did not fit my Tesla whatsoever. They provide install instructions as a pdf on line but the pictures depicting each step are very dark and low grade rendering them useless. The lock plate goes in front of the original lock plate and then bolted to the car with existing 10mm bolts. This assembly did not come close to fitting my car. Everything on the revised lock plate was in the way. I have emailed Hansshow but crickets. Have you heard of these lock plates not fitting at all? Is the lock plate different on the standard range vs the extended range car? That may sound like a silly question comparing the standard range to the long range as far as lock plates go, but I just don't know for sure if they're different based on the fact that what my supplier sent me doesn't come close to fitting. I reordered this conversion from Tlyard. We will see... Thank you for this video. if the battery dies I can understand the severe situation it can cause.

I can't get this working. I feel like some steps are missing. The gun aims perfectly, but the button mappings are all messed up. None of the buttons or trigger on my sinden gun even does anything. Anyone else having problems? I tried running it through teknoparrot and the trigger still doesnt work. The left front button is SHOOT. ><

Is it possible to get two players working? I'm using the RetroShooter gun and it works great, but two player doesn't seem possible

Got mine on temp 65 bucks works great. Even close by it self after a few minutes if I open by accident. Which is great. Dont have to get out of car

How about operating the frunk with the power to the soft close is disconnected and operate the frunk manually. Your demo was exactly a real life scenario as you did not really use the hood.

I installed the one piece unit (V2 version with controller built into the motor unit) on my Model Y last night. It failed upon a few closes. What was interesting was that the soft close motor pulled the bonnet down and kept tension on the latch. When I sent open frunk commands, the factory actuator would work, but was not releasing the bonnet. I had to end up taking the wheels off, bumper under cover off, and loosen the radiator to access the two 10mm bolts on the latch. I had to unbolt the latch from under the car, no way I think it would be possible if the frunk tub was in place.

Hi, Time Crisis 4 works very well but in mmy case i use Lightgun Ultimarc Aimtrak and i would change button right of mouse (trigger outscreen) with left or right button Red on my lightgun. Its possible to do it? Thanks.

Personally installed the satonic with the extra metal hook attachment. Working perfectly for over 3 months now.

This is very informative, the only concern I have with the one-piece (which ironically I have) is for those who live in corrosive weather environments, the motor seizing due to oxidation while going down. There is no practical way of releasing the cable tension without major disassembly and the radiator is a major access restriction to get to the latch area to reach it. My unit started misbehaving whenever the environment is extremely humid which leads me to believe the motor unit circuitry isn't as watertight as it should.
